Honey Mustard Green Beans
1 Tablespoon Butter
1 Onion, sliced thin
1 Clove Garlis, Sliced thin
Salt and Pepper to taste
2 Lb Green Beans
1 Tablespoon Mustard Powder
2 Tablespoons Honey (REAL Honey)
1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
Melt Butter in a large pan and add onions. cook until translucent and just beginning to color. add garlic salt and pepper, saute on low heat while you trim your green beans and add them to the pan.
Cover and let the beans steam 15 minutes. once plyable and bright green, drizzle the honey over the top, followed by the Chinese Mustard Powder and Onion Powder.
Cover and Steam on low, stirring occasionally, until beans reach desired degree of softness. add salt and pepper to taste.
when serving, invert the entire pan over the serving dish. the honey mixture is heavy and tends to sit on the bottom. these are even better a few days later after mixing in their juices for awhile. so make plenty and serve throughout the week!
